Steven Marshank Completes Hakomi Somatic Practitioner course



Steven Marshank is an Oregon entrepreneur who consults on a number of topics, including holistic healing, health, and therapeutic techniques. As a practitioner, Marshank sees clients in the Ashland, Oregon area. Steven Marshank has been interested in holistic healing ever since he became injured and used somatic healing techniques to manage his pain. Now, Steven Marshank is a certified Alaya Somatic Psychology Practitioner and a certified Holotropic Breath Work Practitioner. He completed a three year Hakomi Somatic Practitioner Course taught by Ron Kurtz.
Hakomi somatic therapy is a form of somatic psychotherapy that stems from Eastern philosophy. It was developed in the 1970’s, and its core principles include mindfulness, body-mind connection, unity, and truth. Hakomi therapy promotes healing experiences through memory, mindfulness, and beliefs. Steven Marshank studied Hakomi somatic therapy with Ron Kurtz, who taught workshops and trainings around the United States and internationally. There is an Institute in Boulder, CO where Steven Marshank lived before Ashland.
In his three year course, Steven Marshank learned Ron Kurtz’s Hakomi Method, which helps people connect to their inner thoughts and lead more mindful lives. The classes included meditation, bodywork, and other holistic therapy methods. Steven Marshank learned how to integrate the Hakomi method into the business environment, and he learned how to adapt the therapy for different purposes like relaxation, pain management, and trauma recovery. He successful completed the program and uses Hakomi Somatic Method with his business clients. Steven Marshank continues to study new types of technologies that inform his business. Currently, he is enrolled in a MetaIntegral Embodied Practitioner Course.
